2 cn (16 oz ea) small whole
Green beans, drained 2 Shallots or small onions,
Peeled, thinly sliced, and Separated into individual Rings 2 cl Garlic, minced
1/4 c Fresh parsley, chopped
2 tb Sugar
2 ts Oregano leaves
2 ts Prepared mustard
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c COCA COLA
1/4 c Olive oil
2 tb Vinegar
In a large bowl, combine the garlic, parsley, sugar, oregano, mustard, salt, Coca Cola, olive oil, and vinegar, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Add the beans and shallots/onions toss lightly with a fork. Pack into 1 quart jar. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight for the flavors to blend. Serve chilled or as a hot vegetable with steak, hamburger, or meat loaf. Makes 1 quart. Recipe: International Cooking with Coca Cola , a give away pamphlet from The Coca Cola Company, 1981

1/2 c Olive oil 2 lg Red peppers 1/3 c Lemon juice 2 lg Green peppers 2 tb Chopped Italian parsley 3/4 ts Salt 1 tb Dried oregano 1/8 ts Pepper 3 1/2 lb Broiler/fryer chicken Combine all ingredients e cept chicken and vegetables. Add chicken and marinate at room temperature for 1 hour, turning once. Drain and bake chicken at 400 degrees for 35 minutes. Cut peppers into 1/2 inch thick rings. Saute 8 minutes.
