BETTE LELAND CGVH43B 1/2 c Butter
1 c Sugar
3 Eggs
1 c Flour
2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Cloves
1/2 ts Nutmeg
1/2 c Milk
1/2 c Dark raisins
1/2 c Golden raisins
1/2 c Nuts, chopped
3/4 c Sweetened applesauce
1 c Old fashioned oats, uncooked
Beat butter and sugar together until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mi ture alternately with milk. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into greased and floured 1 1/2 qt. ring mold. Bake 350 for 45 50 min. Loosen edges cool 10 min. then remove from pan. Cool. Frost with thin confectioners' sugar frosting, if desired. Taken from JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED COOKBOOK, page 190.

Drain and dip in the thin Fritter Batter. Batter: Beat together with mi er, egg yolks, milk, flour, salt butter and lemon juice, ( I add 2 tbls sugar and dash of nutmeg) Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Fry in deep fat 375.
