1 stick butter
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

1. Melt together butter unsweetened chocolate and take the saucepan off the
heat.
2. Stir in sugar, eggs and vanilla, and beat the mi ture well.

3. Stir in flour and salt. You may also add walnuts at this point.

4. Bake the brownies in a buttered and floured 8 inch square pan at 325
degrees F. for about 40 minutes.
